FFSA Ghillie

Born a month ahead of schedule, Ghillie was bottle fed for a week until he was assertive enough to demand attention of his mother! We are delighted that he gained his strength and that Dolley took over our "mothering" duties on the second week!

Ghil's soft, consistent locks are evident of his father, our late multiple color champion, USA'S Accoyo Santana. These tight, dense locks look like jute twine used on a Ghillie suit to give it that three dimensional appearance (hence, his name, Ghillie). The twine moves in the wind just like the surrounding foliage enabling the snipers to blend into their surroundings and conceal themselves from the enemy.

Even though Ghil has no enemies at the FORT, we enjoy watching the movement of his locked suit as he pronks with his four cria friends or chase rabbits passing through the pasture.

His 3 yr. histogram and 4 yr. fleece wt. (6.8#) is above the 2018 National average!
